The large amount of cargoes delivered from Sweden is a result of the country's extensive economic and trade ties with other European countries, and due to its rich natural resources. The foundation for the country's international trade is laid by hydropower, wood, and ore, and the main exporting industries are paper and pulp, and engineering industry.
